Quantity Oracle

This Oracle helps with quantities, sizes, numbers, and other similar things. It is mainly useful for solo play when you can't decide how big something should be, or how much of it there should be. Examples could be how much gold there is in a treasure, or how far away a new destination is.

How it works

  1. Decide how much/big/many you think is the "expected" result - that is, what you would guess - an average.
  2. Roll 1d20 and look up the result in the table.
  3. Decide what the result means, given what you previously decided was the "expected" result.
1d20 Amount Explanation
1 Minimum As small/little/few as you can possibly imagine
2-3 Much less A lot smaller/less/fewer than expected
4-7 Less Smaller/less/frewer than expected
8-13 As expected As big/much/many as expected
14-17 More Bigger/more than expected
18-19 Much more A lot bigger/more than expected
20 Maximum As big/many as you can possibly imagine
