About this site

www.ttrpg-hangout.com, like its sister site www.ttrpg-hangout.social, is a site run by Christer Enfors as a hobby project. The topic is anything that interests me related to tabletop roleplaying games, but with a focus on sandbox fantasy games, both solo and with a group.

This site tries to be optimized for you as the reader, rather than for its author. There are no cookies, no annoying popups, and no ads (but perhaps there will be in the future, if the upkeep costs become too much). The only Javascript it has is for giving the author statistics on which articles are read.

About the author

Yours truly.

My name is Christer Enfors, and I've been a RPG enthusiast since the 80's, when I was introduced to the Swedish roleplaying game Drakar och Demoner (since re-released under the name Dragonbane). When we started playing we were around 11 years old, and believe me when I say we had no idea what we were doing. We were playing a game which was loosely inspired by the actual rules of Drakar och Demoner, as well as Drakar och Demoner: Expert. While the Strength attribute was supposed to be somewhere in the 10 - 18 range, it didn't take our PCs long to have Strength surpassing 100.

For one reason or another, my TTRPG hobby then fell to the wayside for a number of years while I instead focused on computers. My most popular computer game category, however, was always fantasy RPGs.

Decades came and went, but in the early fall of 2020, I decided to buy the Dungeons & Dragons Essentials Kit, intending to try to get my children to play it with me. But instead, I ended up playing it with some of my friends. I was the DM for about a year, before another player took the mantle.

Since then, I found a new sub-hobby in solo RPGs. And in the late fall of 2024, I started GMing a homebrew Pathfinder campaign which is still running to this day.
